We first got word of the Samsung SGH-i780 late last year when the company showed off the handset at GITEX in Dubai. The model shown was outfitted with a European transceiver and hopes for a U.S. release were dim.
But we're now seeing indications that a variant of the i780, the SGH-i788, will indeed be headed to the States via AT&T Mobility, possibly as the BlackJack 3 or i907 Mirage. A 2008 product roadmap for AT&T Mobility, which was supposedly leaked in early July, indicates that the BlackJack 3 is scheduled for a Q4 release.
The Samsung i907 runs Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional (touchscreen), and boasts HSDPA, GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. One interesting feature is its optical mouse, a touch-sensative area in the center of its navigation pad.
As more information becomes available on the Samsung i907 BlackJack 3, it will be posted here. Have information or questions regarding the BlackJack 3? E-mail us.
