From there, choose SD & Phone Storage from the main Settings menu. On the following screen, you'll see an option labeled Factory Data Reset.
Tap this option and follow the instructions.
Hardware Software Method
If you've encoutered a problem that's make the ThunderBolt unresponsive, or if you cannot access the Settings menu, you can also initiate a factory reset without using the software reset option.
With the ThunderBolt powered off (to power down the handset, press and hold the Power button and choose Power Off), press and hold the Volume Down button on the right side of the phone. While continuing to press this button, press and hold the Power button on the top edge of the ThunderBolt for several seconds. When you see a white screen appear, release both buttons and use the volume controls to scroll down and select Factory Reset from the menu. Press the Power button again to confirm the command.
