Dell Axim X5 XScale Processor Speed Adjustment

Your Dell Axim X5 is powered by a 400MHz or 300MHz XScale processor. You can adjust the speed of the processor to favor battery life (low speed) or to favor performance (high speed); you can also set the unit to automatically adjust processor speed based on your needs at any given time.

To get to the utility that allows you to adjust the speed of your Axim's processor, do the following:

1. Tap the "Start" button in the upper left-hand corner of the screen.

2. Tap "Settings"

3. On the bottom of the "Settings" window, tap the "System" tab.

4. From the "System" menu, tap the "Power" icon.

5. In the power menu, tap the "Processor" tab at the bottom of the screen.

6. From this menu you can select specific speeds for the processor to run, or you can set the device to run on "Auto."
