The software is also a noteworthy update, since HTC has included not only TouchFLO, a system which alters the way the OS responds to touch commands, but the new Advantage also includes an HTC Today Screen makeover inspired by a future version of Windows Mobile; whether that's WM6.1 or the upcoming WM7 isn't made clear.
Also interesting is the addition of VueFLO, which senses how the user is turning the device for automatic adjustment of the screen format from portrait to landscape and vice versa.
Primary features of the HTC Advantage include a 624MHz XScale CPU, 256MB ROM, 128MB system memory, 5" VGA touchscreen 640x480 display, a 3MP digital camera, an integrated GPS receiver with TomTom’s NAVIGATOR 6 software, 802.11g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR and a 2200mAh Li-Ion battery.
The Advantage X7510 is now showing up in limited quantities in Europe, and while there's no word on direct U.S. availability, you can purchase an unlocked model on eBay. There are some legal issues with the Qualcomm chip that powers the X7510, so a U.S. release may be put off too long for the unit to show up here. Check back here for more information on availability over the coming weeks.
