Meet the HTC Touch Diamond, a new handheld in the Touch line of Windows Mobile touchscreen devices from HTC.
The Touch Diamond is slated to replace the popular HTC Touch and is similar in design to the upcoming HTC Raphael, though the Diamond does not have an onboard QWERTY keyboard. Also like the Raphael, the Touch Diamond has an impressive feature set, which includes 4GB of onboard flash storage, a VGA screen, a 528MHz Qualcomm processor, a 3.2MP camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, HSDPA/HSUPA mobile broadband, and GPS.
Like the Touch before it, the Touch Diamond will include TouchFLO, but with a twist; HTC is debuting an updated version called TouchFLO 3D which "provides animated access to people, messaging, email, photos, music, weather and more." HTC has also added a new web browser based on Opera which makes browsing the web easier and more familiar.
According to HTC, the Touch Diamond will be available in the United States sometime in the second half of 2008. Since it's a GSM/HSDPA handset, it'll be picked up by T-Mobile or AT&T Mobility. Additional information regarding the HTC Diamond will be posted here as it becomes available. Have information or questions regarding this device? E-mail us.
