HTC is readying the successor to the HTC Mogul. Code named "Raphael," the new handset (seen left in a leaked product photo) may carry the name HTC Touch Pro.
Along with its keyboard-free sibling, the HTC Touch Diamond, the Raphael has an impressive feature set built on the popular Mogul. Perhaps the most important new feature is the VGA screen, which provides a higher-resolution display than the QVGA screens in use today on Windows Mobile smartphones. Other features include a 528MHz Qualcomm processor, a 3MP camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, Rev A. EV-DO mobile broadband, and GPS.
The Raphael and Diamond will introduce a new technology for a WM device: an orientation sensor. This is used to change the display orientation based on the way you're holding the device.
Availability and price information isn't yet available, but we do know that the Raphael will be the replacement for the Mogul, so expect to see this device hit Sprint in the coming months. Additional information regarding the HTC Raphael will be posted here as it becomes available. Have information or questions regarding this device? E-mail us.
