The HTC Touch Pro2 was announced at WMC 2009 as a replacement to last year's Touch Pro. This updated device features a larger screen, a tilted-screen option and a curvier design.
The HTC Touch Pro2 is larger than its predecessor, mainly to accommodate its 3.6-inch WVGA touchscreen display. The screen tilts up to reveal a QWERTY keyboard beneath.
Features include a 528MHz Qualcomm CPU, 512MB of flash ROM, 256MB of RAM, 802.11g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a 3.2MP camera, a microSDHC flash memory card slot and a 1500mAh Li-Ion battery. While the Touch Pro2 specs show Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro as the OS, it's possible that the device will either have a WM6.5 upgrade post-sale or will ship with the new mobile OS later in the year.
The HTC Touch Pro2 is now available in the U.S. as an unlocked handset; the smartphone is also sold through several U.S. wireless carriers (see T-Mobile Touch Pro2, Sprint Touch Pro2 & Verizon Wireless Touch Pro2).
