hx2490 / hx2495 Pocket PC
Introduced as part of the Windows Mobile 5.0 OS rollout, the iPAQ hx2490 Pocket PC is an update to the hx2150 and the mid-level model of the latest-generation hx2000 Series Pocket PCs.
Much
like the rx3000 Series, the iPAQ hx2000
series models share a base design; with the exception
of the hx2795's biometric fingerprint reader,
all three models are identical in both dimension
and weight. The
hx2000 iPAQs are also aimed at business users
rather than mobile multimedia enthusiasts, with
a focus on security and stability.
The
iPAQ hx2490 is
powered by the 520MHz PXA270 XScale processor
from Intel, has both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless
onboard, and offers 64MB of RAM with
a 192MB flash ROM for Persistent Memory file storage.
