iPod shuffle - 2nd Generation
According to Apple, the second generation iPod shuffle holds the title of "world's smallest MP3 player." Considering the large number of tiny players sold around the world, this claim may or not be fully accurate, but it's absolutely certain that the 2G iPod shuffle is light, tiny, and cool.
Unlike the first iPod shuffle, the 2nd Generation model is sheathed in anodized aluminum, is available in five colors (seen left) and features a built-in clip for attaching the player to your clothes when you're out and about. The 2G iPod shuffle is about the size of the iPod Radio Remote, measuring just 1.6-inches long and weighing about half an ounce. The 2G iPod shuffle uses the 3.5mm jack for earbud connection, syncing and charging, and the shuffle ships with a USB-to-3.5mm sync dock. The internal Li-Ion battery provides up to 12 hours of use per charge.
The 2G iPod shuffle is now shipping. For more storage space in a small package, check the 3G iPod nano.
