maintains its reputation for innovative MP3 player design with one of its latest offerings, the new U10. Designed around its 2.2-inch color display, the U10 is equally suited for audio or video playback.
Perhaps the most interesting feature of the U10 is its largely buttonless operation. Most commands are entered by touching one of the four sides of the screen, functionality changing based on what is displayed on the screen at any given time.
The U10's add-on cradle (shown left) transforms the player into a truly multifunction unit. The cradle features a line-in port for on-the-fly audio encoding, and embedded speakers allow you to listen to music or video audio without the need for headphones. The cradle also has a "snooze" button, which, along with the unit's software clock, allows the U10 to be used as an alarm clock. As if that weren't enough, the cradle also features a wireless remote. Unfortunately, the cradle is often an optional accessory.
