T-Mobile to Release Windows Mobile 6 Standard Update for Dash
      
                                                
 

May 3 , 2007 - T-Mobile USA today announced its plans to make a Windows Mobile 6 update available for the T-Mobile Dash Smartphone on Friday, May 4, 2007, making it the first Windows Mobile 6 device available in the United States. The update, which installs Windows Mobile 6 Standard on the Dash, will be made available for free on the T-Mobile web site.

Windows Mobile 6 Standard is the new smartphone version of Windows Mobile for devices without touchscreens.  Windows Mobile 6 Classic will be for standalone PDA Windows Mobile Devices with touchscreens and Windows Mobile 6 Professional will be for Windows Mobile phones with touchscreens.
