iPAQ 210 Series Pushed Back to 2008, iPAQ 110 Coming Soon

October 23, 2007 - We've received several reports in the last 48 hours which indicated that the upcoming Windows Mobile 6 Classic Pocket PCs from HP, iPAQ 210 Series and iPAQ 110, had been pushed back to 2008. According to the HP web site, this is at least half true, as the iPAQ 210 is now listed there as "Coming in 2008." An HP spokesman has further confirmed the state of the iPAQ 210, citing "supply issues" as the reason behind the delay of the upcoming VGA iPAQ, which was scheduled to a mid-October release.

The iPAQ 110 Series, on the other hand, still seems to be on track for a release sometime in the coming weeks.

The iPAQ 210 and 110 Series Pocket PCs are seen as an indication that the standalone Windows Mobile PDA is, in fact, not dead, and that a segment of consumers are still looking for PDAs without built-in telephony. Pocket PC Central has received an unusually large number of e-mail messages from prospective buyers interested in these upcoming iPAQs.
