The Palm Treo 755p is now available from Verizon Wireless. The 755p is a Palm OS-based smartphone with a touchscreen, EV-DO support and a miniSD flash memory slot with SDHC support.

No Linux-based Palm OS until 2009? According to The Guardian, it may be up to 18-months before the new OS, often called Palm OS II, will come installed on any devices bearing the Palm logo.

A Windows Vista compatible version of Palm Desktop is now available for download from the Palm web site. This beta version is intended for use with the Palm Centro, Treo 755p , 700p, 680, and 650, the TX and Z22, and the Tungsten E2.
