Lacking the oft-cursed external antenna of previous Treos, the new Treo 680 is an entry level model which bears a striking resemblance to the Windows Mobile Treo 750, also offered by Cingular. Specs include quad-band GSM, onboard Bluetooth 1.2 peer-to-peer wireless, 64MB of onboard storage and a 320x320 pixel touchscreen.
An
onboard full-sized SD slot is included for additional memory, and while the slot is SDIO-ready, Palm's own Wi-Fi card will not work with the Treo 680, at least for now.
The Treo 680 is currently available only to Cingular Wireless customers, though the handset may make its way to other carriers later in 2007.
