Smartphones are non-touchscreen mobile phones powered by PDA-like operating systems including Windows Mobile, Symbian and BlackBerry. While a smartphone generally isn't as powerful or versatile a Pocket PC Phone or Palm OS PDA Phone, smartphones are excellent devices for users who wish to keep a light pocket without sacrificing basic PIM functionality. Smartphones can also be enhanced with additional software, just like a PDA.

	Is Motorola readying a new Q? Mounting information would seem to say "yes." One possible contender for newest Q is the Motorola Q10, which has been rumored since late last year. We don't know for sure one way or another, but we may get our answer as early as April.

	Amazon.com has the Pantech Duo C810, which we just reviewed, for only $0.01 when purchased with a new service plan. Price includes both red and gray versions of the Duo. Offer may end at any time.

	A new iPAQ Windows Mobile Smartphone from HP is in the works. The HP iPAQ Silver is set to debut later this year and features onboard Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth, HSDPA network compatibility and a slim new design.
