Verizon HTC Droid ERIS Android Smartphone Information Center

HTC Droid Eris Android Smartphone

The second Android-powered handset from Verizon in the Droid family, the Droid ERIS, was designed by HTC and is a thinner, lighter version of the HTC Hero

Features include a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 5MP camera.  The ERIS will ship with an 8GB microSDHC card, but is compatible with larger 16GB cards.

The touchscreen-centric handset includes HTC's Sense UI and Android 1.5; there was supposed to be an Android 2.0 upgrade for the ERIS sometime in 2010, but so far we've not seen it.

Verizon Wireless released the HTC Droid ERIS on November 6, 2009.  As of July 2010, the carrier seems to have pulled the ERIS from thier web store.  The handset is still available from the retailers below.
