HP made several new PDA, PDA Phone and Smartphone announcements in late 2007, and now there appears to be at least one new addition to the new family of iPAQ handhelds. The HP iPAQ Silver is a Windows Mobile 6 Smartphone (non-touchscreen) set to debut in mid-2008.
Featuring a design quite different than past iPAQ handhelds, the Silver appears to be quite thin and sports a blue exterior, though the final product may be available in several colors. Primary features include built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS, HSDPA network compatibility, and an RIM SureType keyboard.
The HP iPAQ Silver is set for release in the UK in July 2008, and while there is no clear indication as to when it will make its debut in the U.S., there can be little doubt that it will arrive in the States (via T-Mobile or AT&T Mobility) sooner or later.
