Similar in design to the Europe's Treo 500v (which is powered by Windows Mobile 6), this entry-level smartphone runs the long-in-the-tooth Palm 'Garnet' OS and features high-speed EV-DO wireless data connectivity.
Other features include a QWERTY keyboard, 64MB of available flash memory storage, a 320x320 QVGA display, a 1.3MP digital camera, Bluetooth 1.2, a removable 1150mAh Li-Ion battery and a microSD expansion slot for additional flash memory (SDHC supported). The Centro does not include Wi-Fi.
In the United States, the Palm Centro is available to Sprint Wireless users (and more recently AT&T Mobility) for $100 with a two-year contract and a $100 mail-in rebate.
Available colors include black (shown left) and red.
