The upcoming Samsung SGH-i200 is an entry-level Windows Mobile 6 Standard Smartphone with a classic candybar design and few (if any) non-standard features.
Like the now discontinued Cingular 2125, the Samsung i200 doesn't have a sliding, flipping or tilting part in sight; it's just a candybar with a 2.3" QVGA non-touchscreen display and a standard dial-pad. It does offer 3G data connectivity, however, along with Bluetooth 2.0, a 2MP digital camera and a microSD flash memory card slot. No word on SDHC compatibility. The form-factor does make this i200 worth note, however, for those who are into slim, simple phones without much in the way of frills.
The Samsung i200 is due out in the first half of 2008, though we don't have specific release, carrier or price information. Check back here in the coming weeks for details. Have information or questions regarding the Samsung i200? E-mail us.
