Released on the heels of the T-Mobile Dash, a second Q-killer arrived at Cingular Wireless (now AT&T Mobile). The Samsung SGH-i607 "BlackJack" is now available for $199 with a contract, bringing the number of thin QWERTY Windows Mobile 5 smartphones on the U.S. market to three (Motorola Q, T-Mobile Dash & Samsung BlackJack).
Like the Motorola Q, the Samsung i607 is powered by a 200MHz TI OMAP processor and the Windows Mobile 5 for Smartphones operating system. Other features include a 320x240 landscape color display, onboard Bluetooth 2.0 wireless and a 1.3MP digital camera. The Push E-Mail MSFP add-on is also included.
The Samsung BlackJack is UMTS/HSDPA & EDGE network compatible, meaning you can enjoy broadband-like speeds in 3G-ready areas. Check with Cingular Wireless for coverage details.
