HTC's successor to the HTC Mogul, the Sprint Touch Pro, arrived in November 2008. Along with its keyboard-free sibling, the Sprint Touch Diamond, the Touch Pro offered an impressive feature set built on the popular HTC Mogul and Kaiser models.
Perhaps the most important new feature was its VGA screen, which provided a higher-resolution display than the QVGA screens in use on Windows Mobile smartphones of the time. Other features include the Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional OS, TouchFLO 3D, a 528MHz Qualcomm processor, a 3MP camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, mobile broadband, and GPS.
The Touch Pro and Touch Diamond introduced a new technology for a WM device: an orientation sensor. This is used to change the display orientation based on the way you're holding the device.
