Palm Treo 800w Smartphone

    

The Palm Treo 800w, previously code-named "Drucker," was released on schedule and is now available for purchase for Sprint Wireless customers. As the successor to the aging Treo 700wx, the Treo 800w is a Windows Mobile Professional Smartphone (touchscreen), running the latest Windows Mobile 6.1 OS. 

The Treo 800w features a 320x320 QVGA touchscreen display, a 2MP digital camera, a 333MHz ARM-based processor, 256MB of flash storage, and a microSDHC flash memory slot for up to 8GB of storage.  An onboard GPS receiver is also included.

The Palm Treo 800w is currently available from Sprint Wireless. 

There are reports that Sprint plans to replace the 800w in early 2009 with the Palm Treo Pro.
